So to keep things from getting too wordy, I’ve decided to make a list about my experience at training camp in Georgia.
1. It is HOT is Georgia in August
2. Everything during the week was intentional
3. Everything during the week was intense
4. God was there. In the teaching, the journaling, the games, the meals.
5. We had time to reflect on said teaching, like actually think about what was said and what it meant.
6. I journaled more in 9 days than 6 weeks in Africa.
7. The AIM staff is incredible.
8. The AIM staff is prayerful about EVERY decision they make during the week.
9. Cold showers aren’t so bad when it is a million degrees outside.
10. The Underground Church game was one of the best, most intense, meaningful, and fun games I’ve ever played
11. Team building- as in building teams- is hard.
12. Finding out about who your team is is great.
13. Team Libre is freakin’ AWESOME!
14. Gary Black is crazy and great
15. Lisa Black and Allison Johnston are amazing.
16. Apparently a finger nail brush can work wonders on a dirty shirt.
17. I couldn’t have been ready or prepared for what God showed me.
18. We were reminded about every… 30 mins to “Choose In” to whatever we were doing.
19. It was absolutely worth it and I’m so glad I did.
20. Oh yeah, and Georgia does a GREAT job at mimicking a developing nation when given the chance… did I say it was HOT?
So I know I left a ton out, and wrote that in about 10 mins, but I wanted to get something up about camp, because it really was such an incredible week. Here’s a few pictures:

Atlanta airport, where it all began!

A few of the ladies hanging out I the tent

Allison (squad coach), me and Tomina (teammate) and yes that is me, the seatbelt wearin’, law abiding Lindsey in the back of an SUV…. Georgia…. Africa… things in mirror may be closer than they appear (oh and AIM staff, we def. had seatbelts on)
