This is it!

I’m taking off!! Tomorrow I will wake up, finish the last minute packing. Take one more hot shower, pick up pictures, do some banking, drive to LA, have dinner with the family, say goodbye to them and get dropped at the airport. This is it. The World Race starts tomorrow! Please pray for travel mercies, as our first flight is 14 hours and 40 minutes long to Hong Kong, and another 2 hour flight to Manila.

Also, please pray for this transition time. It is going to be hard as a group to adjust and hard for our families at home. Please know that I am not going so I can leave you, I am so sad to say goodbye to everyone here. These last few months have been the hardest of my life, and so good at the same time. I guess I never thought about all the people that love me and all the people I love. Still, I AM THRILLED TO GO! I can’t even imagine the ways I will get to be used by God this year. The ways He will teach me and how incredible our time will be together this year. I can’t believe I am going to go to all the amazing places I will go, and will meet so many incredible people around the world. I am sad to have to say goodbye, but know this is where I should be. His will is clear, and I love it. I am taking off on a pilgrimage,  a year of unknowns to grow closer to God and serve Him the whole time. So THIS IS IT! I am all packed and while it weighs more that I had hoped, but it is ready. All that is left is publishing this blog, going to sleep and setting off.  So, goodbye USA, and hello world! (here are a few pics of me and my stuff…. lets not talk about the bad times please)
