So here goes my first blog (though this is the 3rd time I’ve typed this). I decided to write a few things about me to start this thing off– give people a better understanding of who I am.
- I have one of each type of sibling- big bro, little bro, big sis, little sis.
- My favorite color is yellow
- I like dogs better than cats
- I can’t stop looking at all the gear I need for the trip (any advice on this front is more than welcome)
- I think TV on DVD and DVR are 2 of the greatest inventions out there– no more commercials!
- My favorite book of the Bible is also the shortest- Philemon
- I love:
- to laugh and to make people laugh
- Will Ferrell movies and I will (hopefully) be seen in one on Feb 29!
- Spontaneity
- The beach and swimming (esp. in the ocean)
- slippers (I will miss those for sure)
- Mexican food
- exploring new places and the feeling once you know where you are and how to get around a new city
- Sleeping in (this may be what I miss most other than friends and family)
- going to the movies
- music- most genres, basically what the radio tells me to like
- puzzles- sudoku and kakuro, crosswords…
- games- all types
- to read
- jeans- they go with everything– I’m really excited about not getting dressed up for work
- dolphins, babies and puppies (this one is for Mandy)
- I dislike:
- FISH (I am banking on the fact that I will learn to love fish on the Race!)
- traffic- no driving on the race, yay!
- waking up early (esp. for work)
- “Your Mom” jokes– fellow racers, make a note of this one 😉
- TV game shows- except the Amazing Race, which is totally different
- running- swimming, walking, aerobics, weights, dancing– all better options in my eyes
- spiders (and scorpions even more than spiders)
- paying to park
