It’s so hard to believe that month 3 is coming to an end. I am in complete awe of how much my team has grown and how blessed we have been this month. Can I just say that going from India to Nepal to Romania sent me into complete culture shock as soon as we stepped off the plane.This month we have been living IT UP. We have had hot showers (not to mention running water whenever needed), a grocery store (somewhat similar to a Wal-Mart), CEREAL, a washing machine, and electricity all the time. I honestly feel a little guilty but I am soaking up every minute of it and BEYOND thankful.
Oh my goodness not to mention we have been set up with an amazing ministry. We are working with a church of Christ Pastor who is trying to start up a new church in the city next to us. We go to colleges nearby a few times a week and just hang out on campus and chat with people and listen to their stories and invite them to church. We also go to the gypsy villages close to our village. We go and pray and preach and sing and just love on the people there which is really awesome. We met this Amazing, Beautiful girl named Kinga at one of the colleges and she has been a complete God-send. She has helped us with everything from where to eat and transportation. Dude and she loves GLEE, (I’m trying to bring her back to America with me so everyone can experience her awesomeness!) Anyways she volunteers in the city at this Christian kids club (kinda like the YMCA) and she invited us to go with her one night and we got to help out there and I absolutely loved it. Even though it wasn’t a ministry assigned to us by AIM it has probably been my favorite. Its for under privileged kids after school and we just taught them Christian songs in English, played games, and did arts and crafts. It was definitely up my alley. I loveeed it.
Oh and we have also had a ton of free time this month. Dude, just get into the Word, and really learn to listen to God. We have been set up in this amazing village that is so safe that all of the girls can run alone if we want. We are surrounded by farmland and we can just run through the fields and really bask in how awesome God is and how everything in His creation just screams His glory. I can’t describe how great it has been. Hopefully this helps everyone see what we’ve been doing! Thanks soooo much for reading my blog J
