Month 6.

I live in a small village outside of Chokwe, Mozambique.

I am in a one man tent under a huge tree.

I am on a laptop in a one man tent under a huge tree.

We live in the front yard of a small discipleship training
school.

The school has 3 married couples and their children that are
living here.

The 3 families left everything they own to come and live
here for a year and go through the extensive Biblical training and then they
will be placed by the school in a certain providence that the leaders of the
school will choose when they “graduate”. They will then start Bible studies and
ministries and raise up other disciples.

Most people in Mozambique speak Portuguese/Spanish… Thank
goodness I paid attention in Spanish class :/

I have never been more motivated to move in the Spirit than
after meeting these people who have left everything they own to follow where
ever God tells them to go. They think it’s crazy that we have left our country
and families for a year but these people have given up their whole lives and
moved their families out of comfort to serve God.

All of the women and children live in one room and all the
men live in another because there isn’t enough funding for them all to have
their own rooms.

All of our meals are done “family dinner style” and everyone
helps cook and clean up.

There is a TV in the dining room that only plays “the
spiritual healing” channel.

There are always little boys yelling at us through our
fence.

The best meal here has been spinach and peanut soup… I’m
bringing that junk back to the STATES.

We have to wear skirts every day.

We travel around the villages to meet with the pastors of
the local churches that the ministry we are working with has trained. We listen
to their testimonies and pray for problems in their churches and sometimes
their personal needs. We normally give them scriptures that God leads us to for
them, just to motivate them and let them
know God is thankful for their work. There is usually some type of “meal” or
“tea” or “coke and cookies” given to us at the end of every visit. Which makes
it VERY WORTH WHILE 🙂

I have met witch doctors and been cursed by them.
GOOD MONTH SO FAR> 🙂
