If I don’t get on
that boat I know exactly what I’m going home to, if I do my future is
unwritten.
People out there putting themselves in places where they
shouldn’t be, and I knew right then that’s where I wanted to be.
The best journeys answer the questions that in the
beginning you didn’t even think to ask.
I meet a lot of young people who ask me what books to
read or films to watch, I think that’s a good way to start but there is no
substitute for just going there…
Taking a trip for 6 months, you get in the rhythm
of it and you feel like you could just go on forever.
Can’t stand to stand, can’t stand to sit, who
would wanna know this?
Fear of
the unknown is the greatest fear of all… but we just went for it….
As each day passes I feel more detached from my
scheduled life back home and more at rhythm with what surrounds me.
The word adventure has gotten over used, for me
when everything goes wrong that’s when the adventure starts….

We didn’t change our lives overnight, but it had a big
influence on me, for me it was the best trip of my life.

foremost, people only protect those things that they love, and you can’t love
something unless you inherently identify with it…

In response to people saying you can’t go back, what if
you get to the cliff and you take one step forward or you do a 180 turn and
take one step forward, which way you going? Which is progress?
