Even though I don't always look forward to our morning prayer walks (because of the heat), I am always thankful for them at the end. God has opened up a lot of doors for us and given us a lot of opportunities to love our neighbors and share the gospel with them.

It's amazing how people want to invite us into their homes simply because we are American. To be honest, I thought it would've been the exact opposite. With all of the hatred of Americans lately, I didn't think people would be this welcoming, so it's been a wonderful surprise.

One Saturday morning, Becky and Deirdre met Joti, a young girl in her early 20's who is currently studying at a university in Pinang. She was so excited to talk to us and get to know us. And she even invited us to her mother's home for lunch the next day.

The team arrived at Joti's house at 1pm, and were greeted by Joti, her mother, and her younger brother, Seewat. The team had actually met Seewat on previous prayer walks while he was his cousin's house so it was fun to make the connection that we knew both of them. Their mother had prepared us a truly traditional Indian meal, even served on a leaf. (Reminder: Malaysia is made up of three races: Malay, Indian, and Chinese)

After wonderful time of eating and laughing and sharing stories, we then had the opportunity to share some of the gospel with this family, and even pray over their mom, who has been sick lately.

After praying for her mom, Joti asked us if we could prayer for another family member. "Of course!" was our response. We walked down the street to house where we first met Seewat at, and they graciously welcomed us into their home. After official introductions, Deidre shared the gospel with the 10 people in the house and then our team had the opportunity to pray for Joti's aunt, who recently suffered from a stroke.

The Lord is working here is Malaysia and it is really amazing. Keep praying for our team, for our ministry, and for the people of Malaysia. God desperately wants all of His children to know and praise Him.
