You would think that after three full months on the race, I would learn to come into month 4 with no expectations. Sadly, that is not the case. At first sight, this month caught me off guard. We are living in a home that is in a relatively nice Malaysian neighboorhood in a small relatively surburban area. Our assigned ministry doesn't start until Pastor Thomas gets off work (after 5). So far, we have spent our evenings going to the local hospital and praying for the patients.

There is a precious girl named Glory, and she could definitely use more prayers. The doctors have deemed her case hopeless, but her mother, who is not a christian, has allowed for us to pray for Glory. She is a precious two year old girl with syndrome. Currently, she is suffering from a lot of illnesses, including an infection and trouble breathing. She is incredibly weak, and needs to be stronger before she can get the surgery she needs.
Don't go thinking though, that we just lounge around till 5pm. We, as a team, have seek what else God desires for us to do this month- we have begun prayer walks through our neighborhood, and already we have seen some cool things.

Our first day, we prayed outside of a house, because inside they were praying (Hindu or muslim) and burning things. The next day, we came back, and through a series of events, were allowed to pray for a little girl in the home who reminded me of little Jyiothi from India. This little girl also can't walk or talk, despite being almost three years old. We were able to share the gospel with them, and are going back to pray for them again.
More free time also means more sweet time seeking the Lord's presence. It's been a little bit of a battle with me and God this month, but I know it's because He is ushering me into deeper intimacy with Him. We also spend some of the time bonding as a team, especially since we just had team changes.
