I am happy to share with you that I have accepted a full-time stateside job with Sarah’s Covenant Homes (SCH). I am the Director of Development. While my job includes many things, my three main priorities are fundraising, recruiting volunteers, and managing the Child Sponsorship Program. I am so honored to spend the next 13 months advocating for some of my favorite kids in the world. I will be based out of Gainesville, GA, near Adventures in Missions.
Because SCH is a non-profit organization, I will be raising my own salary. I need to raise $1,650 per month to help cover food, lodging, bills, health insurance, etc. I am looking for people to join my cause as monthly supporters. Sixteen supporters of $100 per month or 32 supporters of $50 per month will come very close to reaching my goal. I am asking you to prayerfully consider joining my monthly support team. Is this something you might invest in, so I may find a way to bring food, clothing, medicine and care to these orphans who are sons and daughters of God, just like you and me? If you are unable to make a monthly donation, would you be able to make a one-time donation? Of course, any amount the Lord leads you to give will be greatly appreciated.
I am willing to offer the time, energy, brainpower and passion needed to recruit volunteers and sustain a budget to care for these abandoned children. If you choose to invest in me, you will be investing in the possibility of these results:
— Just enough food, clothing, shoes and medicine for every child, with a little to spare for toys and recreation
— Physical therapists who can help these children walk, talk and become active members of their small community
— A safe vehicle to transport the children who need to travel for medical care
— Education for those who need the basics, and also for those who have the capacity to advance in higher education, with a chance to give back
— Group homes where children can develop family bonding, a foundation for emotional health
— A Critical Care Center for those who have urgent physical needs
I cannot do this alone. God has called me to this work and I know He will provide. I am relying on His word.
Psalm 82: 3-4 says: “Defend the poor and the fatherless; bring justice to the afflicted and needy … Free them from neglect and oppression.”
