Today, all I wanted to do was get on a plane to India.
When I told a friend this, he looked at me like I was crazy. Probably since I had literally just refused to eat the curry meal option at the AIM office today. I hate Indian food. And truthfully, the Indian culture sometimes overwhelms me.
But there are 130 kids that I want to get back to. And one in particular that I cannot wait to have back in my arms.
When I first accepted my job as the Director of Development for Sarah’s Covenant Homes, people asked me how often I would go back, and my response was, probably twice a year. Well the second time in 2014 is just around the corner.
I am going back to India in September for a month!
On this trip, I’ll be:
– Making videos for SCH
– Introducing SCH to a potential grant-writer
– Hopefully, attending the Engage Disability Conference (http://www.engagedisability.com)
– Creating new goals with Sarah
– Working on the final sponsor update of 2014
– Updating all the kids sponsor page profiles
And More!
