Part of my new job (Director of Development, Sarah’s Covenant Homes) is to find sponsors for our kids and keep those sponsors updated.
Currently, Sarah’s Covenant Homes (www.schindia.com) has 114 kids, and only 32 of those kids are fully sponsored. That means 82 of the kids at SCH are either partially sponsored or not sponsored at all.
I have spent time with all 114 of these kids, and I would shout it from the mountain tops if Georgia had any real mountains: Each and every one of these kids DESERVES to be sponsored!
What does it mean to sponsor a SCH child?
Sarah’s Covenant Homes provides food, medical attention, and a loving home to each of it’s 114 kids. Several of these kids also go to school, and for the ones who incapable of school, they receive physical therapy or training depending on their capabilities.
A majority of our kids live in a smaller city and it takes $200/month to care for each one of them. For some of our kids who need more medical care, they live in the larger city and it take $300/month to ensure that their needs are met.
Maybe $200 or $300 per month is too much for you to commit right now, which is why we offer partial monthly sponsors of either $100 or $40 per month.
Why is it our goal to have all our kids sponsored?
Once we know that we have the funds to care for each of our kids, we can start focusing on other projects for the kids, such as better therapy for our kids with severe cerebral palsy or a college scholarship fund for our kids who will one day be able to attend university. The possibilities are endless, but first we need to be ensure that our kids’ basic needs are met, and in order to do that, we need our help.
If you are able to sponsor one of our kids, will you please go to http://www.schindia.com/gallery/not-yet-sponsored-children/
And if you can’t sponsor a child at this time, will you share our story with friends who can?
Thank you and God Bless!
