Romania Wrap-Up:

This past month in Targu-Mures we worked with a Pastor who has a passion for evangelism but sometimes lacks the manpower to accomplish the vision God has given him (Insert World Race Teams here). God always provides!

God has given him a vision for restoration and for the Hungarian people of Romania to come to know God and to live their life for Him.

SO, this month, we did a lot of street evangelism, promoted some Christian concerts, visited gypsy villages, held a small church service every Friday night in town, worked with the youth in the village we lived in, and much more.

7 (out of many) favorite memories from the month:

  1. Gypsy village #2. The 1st time we visited this village our pastor was running a gypsy funeral service. That was interesting. The 2nd time we did songs, skits, testimonies, and shared the gospel with children and adults. We had 5 people make a decision in their heart to follow after God. Praise the Lord!! Here are a few pictures from our time at the gypsy villages:

  1. The youth in our village were a blast. We spent time with them every Friday night. The guys on my team did a weekly bible study with the male-youth, we held an 80’s dance party for all.

  1. The village we lived in was quaint, quiet, and had a lot of history. We had the opportunity to spend time at the church in the village and got to be a part of their celebration of 225 years. The pews we sat on were 225 years old. The building itself was 225 years old. That means that at least 1 true believer for the last 225 years came to that church every Sunday and worshiped the same God we worship today. It’s incredible to think about.

  1. Maria. See my blog on her here.
  1. Team Dinosaur. We had the opportunity experience Romania with this wonderful team led by Rachael Hurt. We had a blast during the month and it was completely God ordained that we were together because I know people experienced more freedom in their own walk, they learned more, they were challenged and we grew personally.             Leaving each other is hard to do…..

  1. The McDonnell’s!!! We met the McDonnell’s in McDonalds. Praise God for them!! They are a family from the states and are doing a 2 year term out in Targu-Mures with theLivada Organization. We had a change to spend a little time with them and they are pure joy and were an encouragement to us. They are truly seeking after the Lord and all that He has for them as a family. Here’s to you McDonnell family, I can’t wait until you return to the states but until then, continue to allow God to shine through you in all that darkness.

Divine appointment at McDonalds

Spending time at their house.

7. Adventures!!! We went to the Zoo, Dracula’s Castle and some Fort!

So, that’s the wrap up!

There is so much need in Romania but God is moving!
