Robert…
was sitting on the mat, in front of his house, just like he has probably sat
on that mat for the last 19 years of his life.
Robert cannot walk or talk.
I do not know what his mental or physical
struggle has been… his entire life.
His mother cannot explain it to me.
When we arrived to his house on a random house visit…
I walked over to him, shook his hand and said “Jambo”.
He looked at me with the biggest smile I have ever seen.
For some reason….
my heart STOPPED.
I think he smiled and his joy knocked
me over.
I can’t explain it but my heart was awe-struck.
We visited for a few minutes and spoke with Robert’s mother.
Before leaving his mothers house, she said to our translator,
“He only smiles like this when believers come to visit him”.
I am still processing God’s power and
glory in this.
The words I type can’t make you feel the supernatural joy that I experienced that day.
The photos I took can’t capture his smile.
What I CAN tell you is that God uses others to bless and He used Robert that day to renew my spirit.
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.
