John 12: 25-26
Jesus said “ Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am, And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.”
” Servants don’t try to give the Master a better idea
Servants don’t complain that they think the task is stupid
Servants don’t try to decide if they’re in the mood to do it right now
Servants don’t decide if the task is within their dignity to perform it.
They just do it. The closer you get to God, the more obedient you MUST be.”
I’m sure there will be times during this year that I will question directions and ways of doing things; whether that is from God or man, I’m pretty sure I will do both. I do hope to get to a point where I’m so decreased and God is so increased in my heart that my flesh doesn’t even get a chance to think or respond in that kind of a way. God is BEYOND WORTHY of my obedience. IF you love God you will be obedient to God.
What is God asking YOU to do? Are you doing most of the talking or listening? I can honestly say that the majority of my life has consisted of me doing most of the talking. Things in my life come together when I LISTEN. Living a life of obedience to God is the BIGGEST adventure you could ever ask for. Each day is different. It isn’t easy but it is the MOST fulfilling way of living. It brings peace, purpose, growth, love, and it brings you closer to the HEART OF God, which is beyond amazing. I hope this encourages you to first sit and listen and then to go and do what God has told you to do
**Being obedient in Wujal Wujal consisted of awkward conversations, many moments of stepping out in faith, the understanding that we had no idea what we were doing w/o God, and LOTS of prayer and fasting.
