Can you believe it’s already been a month?
Here is 11 things I’ve experienced while living in NZ. (more pics below)
yet that doesn’t have God’s creativity written all over it. It’s undeniable.
You should visit!
2. God is MOVING and answering prayers in Tauranga, NZ. You
can just feel it when you meet the people that are on fire for the
Lord…especially the people of Change Point Church. They have started a 4 hour
house of prayer, 5 days a week to pray for their nation. It has changed my
life. I’ve gone deeper with God than ever before while being there. They are
working towards a 24 hour house of prayer. The people that work at Change Point
are life changers!
the time…which would mean something like…”awesome” to us.
Now…you can see why I wouldn’t say “sweet as” in the states….I
would say it’s a 100% guarantee people would think I’m saying something else.
Ya feel me?
ice cream…so good.
night. Not so fun when you’re tenting it.
6. It’s summer here and it’s been beautiful pretty much
every day… minus some rain. HOWEVER…Sunscreen is absolutely necessary in NZ.
There is no real ozone layer here so the burn time can be as little as 8
minutes. They give those details along with the weather report everyday so I
hear. Funny thing is….sunscreen is so expensive here. A normal bottle
is roughly $25-30 nzd. Fair skin people would go broke here.
7. Most…if not all…people have musical talent here. They can
either…sing beautifully, write songs, or they can plan an instrument or
many. I’m not kidding. It’s
something about this island or something has to be in the water. I was hoping
some of it would rub off on me over this last month. No luck.
8. I had the pleasure of driving our group around often.
Kiwi’s drive on the opposite side of the road and there are LOTS of
round-a-bouts which sometimes don’t make sense to me. However, I feel as though
I’ve mastered driving on the wrong side with a large van..automatic or manual.
Yay!
9. I’m sure you’ve heard that there are more sheep than
people….also cows. This is true. They are everywhere. I love it.

10. Sausages. A summer norm. They eat sausages on buttered
bread with mustard, grilled onion and tomato sauce. That’s right fokes…tomato
sauce, not ketchup. I ate it but…I’ll be ok if it’s not on my plate anytime
soon. They also like ginger here.
Ginger beer (pop)….ginger lollys (candy)…etc…
God is moving in their community and the way they worship God is so humbling
and has taught me so much. Life changing.
move in ways to redeem this nation…
