The next morning we ate breakfast and made our way back to the villages. My team split up into two groups so that we were able to cover more ground. My group came upon a group of men sitting in a circle visiting with each other. At the end of our conversation a man asked us, “When do we worship God?” My group answered, “All the time.” A man on the other side of the circle said, “I told you so.” Then we prayed for a man who had a fever and it left. He had other pains bothering him, but he only noticed that the fever was no longer there.
In the next village we visited with a lady and she received Jesus as her Savior.
Then we met up with the rest of the team and headed back to our camp ground for lunch and to prepare for the night meeting in the pre-school building. Before we knew it, more than 10 children were there to spend a couple of hours with the Americans. Soon it was time to give a message to their parents and family. As the Holy Spirit led us, one by one, we would stand up and give an encouraging message from the bible. Each one of us seemed to flow one after the other. It was amazing!
At the end, we prayed for those who wanted prayer. I walked up to a guy and asked him what he would like me to pray for him. Do you know what he said? He said, “I want more of God.” I prayed for him and asked if he felt the presence of the Holy Spirit on his hands. He said, “Yes.” I had an interrupter with me as I prayed for him and as I gave him words of encouragement. Then the next person I prayed with told me that his head was hurting. As I prayed I would stop and asked how he felt or was there any difference in his condition. Well by this time, my interrupter was helping with praying for others so I was kind of on my own with a boy who spoke broken English. I began to pray for him again and felt a strong presence of the Holy Spirit on my hand, and the Holy Spirit began to show me a picture and gave me a word of encouragement about his future. By this time, I was able to get an interrupter’s attention to help me tell this boy what the Lord was telling me. I asked the boy if this relates or makes since to him, and he told me that it completely went along with what his desires were for his future.
We said our “Good Byes” to our new friends and prepared to leave the next morning to go further out in the bush.
