I am sorry for not being able to post as often as you would like me to.  I have been without a laptop for a month and a half.  I will soon be able to have blogs prepared so that when I go somewhere with wifi, I will be able to quickly upload.

In a very technological world, this has been a stretch for me.  My basic need for a computer is communication with my family, friends, and those who are supporting me during my mission trip around the world.  Though in other ways, this has been a blessing.  I don’t feel addicted to the computer.  People in the states, may feel like that they cannot live without facebook or even email; but not using the internet for the past 3 weeks, I have learned to trust God that everything is and will be okay even when I am not able to communicate with all my family.  I will be okay too. Computers are a wonderful tool to use to communicate with others, but I believe that there not always used in a healthy way.  You can forget about others around you and miss ministering to people in front of you. You can get lost in a screen and forget the screen that Jesus has place in front of you…the people, the hearts, that Jesus has provided for you to let yourself pour into and you in turn will receive the blessing of seeing them grow in relationship with the Jesus.

I think the only other use I have missed is viewing church services.  Back in the states, I would usually watch and listen to my church service during the week repeatedly because that was one of the ways for me to spend time with Jesus and be in His presence and refill.  I love spending time with Jesus and being in God’s Word because there is nothing like being in His unspeakable presence.

I will be posting soon about Zambia and South Africa.
