Do you have a toilet at home or running water? Or even electricity? Do you have a roof over your head?

To my readers, if you answered yes to all of these questions, then you are living a life that many parts of the world only dream about.

For the past two weeks, I have been living in a tent that is pitched in a concrete church building.  Thankfully we have electricity sometimes because the churches we have stayed in have had at least one fan.  Our need to have plenty of water and bathrooms, on the other hand, is not as easy to come by.

As my first week in the villages of India started, the guys from my team built us a shower area.  Then for my second week, we were in a different village and with no type of bathroom around; we were also in close quarters to our neighbors.  The guys from my team helped come up with a bathroom solution: using buckets on top of the roof.

In America, it is so easy to find the simple necessities.  For example, water, food, shelter, and a bathroom with privacy. Yes, all these seem necessary, but really there is only one thing that you need in your life to live in luxury. If you have a relationship with Jesus Christ and worship only Him, then you are living a life of extravagance.

I have been to so many places where people worship idols.  For example, in Africa, it was serving witch doctors or having a twisted view of Christianity; in China, most people think Christianity is a fairy tale story; here in India, they want as many gods as they can have in their life.

Jesus Christ is my everything, and I will never need any other gods in life.  He is my provider in all things and loves me so much more than I will ever imagine.
