Weeks Prior to Training Camp

Before arriving at Training Camp (July 14-21), I had to receive $3,500. Thank you Jesus, and to everyone that has contributed to me leaving in September because without your support I would have not met my first deadline!
My route 1 became known as the “I” Squad, and our color is
yellow.

Training Camp

Immediately when arriving at Toccoa Falls, we had to set up our tents and then made our way to the chapel for service.  As worship began we were told that we have the freedom to be ourselves in worship.  I will never forget how sincere their statement was, and that I truly felt like I had the freedom to worship without being stereotyped.
Over the next couple of days I saw our squad experience a new freedom and a new understanding of how God unconditionally loves us.  I too experienced this, and felt I like I could be myself with others; instead, of hiding my personality from others. Then by mid to the end of the week we saw God do miraculous things through us, and we learned about ministering to each other the love of God.

By Thursday evening, our squad was divided up into teams. My team is known as “Genesis” and we are  a group of 6 people.

Leaving in September (4th-7th)

I am leaving on September 4th for Chicago, and then by the end of the week my group will be leaving for Africa.  I am so thankful for everyone’s prayers, and for helping me in any way possible.  I am continuing to trust God to provide for me in everything.   I have seen myself grow over the summer by giving more of myself to His kingdom and then in turn, I have seen my relationship with Him grow deeper as I have trusted Him more.
With this being said, I feel like I need to let you know that I have a few more deadlines to meet:

  • August 15th
  • December 1st
  • March 1st

You may give electronically, by going to my blog and pressing support me.  lindseydarnell.thewordrace.org

Another way is by sending a check made to Adventure in Missions, putting my name in the memo line, and filling out my Support Card.
