Okay, I’ll be honest, I’m currently sitting on a couch at an Albania university, listening to an LSU football game. Not a bad life.
Seriously though, we are working with Campus Crusade for Christ here in Albania for the month. Pretty excited about it, working with college kids is kinda my thing, you know. Not exactly sure what ministry will look like yet, but I know I’ll get to hang out with a bunch of college peeps all day, everyday so I’m ready to get going. Tomorrow (p.s. we are seven hours ahead here, so its almost Sunday in my world) we are going to church and apparently the sermon will be in English!! I will never again take for granted church services in my original language.

Lionheart and Cherished Flame hanging out with some Albanian dudes at the beach.
Today we went on a walk to the beach along with some of the students from our university. We found a supermarket (Pringles and Nesquick, anyone?), as well as had some “hot chocolate” which turned out to be warm chocolate pudding! Sooo good. Its been abnormally chilly here, but supposedly its usually pretty warm here, looking forward to that. We are also working with another team, Cherished Flame, specifically most of my old team along with some new friends, Nat Reeves, Sam Owens, and Steph Bernotas. So just in case I mention any of these ladies you will know whom I’m talking about. Poor Jeff and Jamos, not only are they living with all 12 ladies between these two teams but we are also staying in the all girls’ dorm. In said dorm there are no toilets, only squatty potties…also a giant Santa lives in our room, but I don't hate it.

Staying in the dorm at the college where we are working, never thought I'd be back in one of these.
Ministry this month will basically be spending time with people on campus, meeting up with them if they have any more questions, and helping out with CRU’s weekly meetings. Also on Friday nights we are supposed to have American night (who the heck knows what that means). Also my Canadian teammate takes offense, what about Canadian night? J So look forward to stories about that, I’m sure they will be wonderful and hilarious, I see the Cupid Shuffle in our future…
I suppose I should tell people this…my pack got lost/was delayed so I haven’t been able to use any of my newly acquired Target purchases but we just found out that they are safe and hopefully I’ll be able to get it back in the next couple to few days. It will be just like Christmas. Also I said Target, let me explain. My squad got to spend a whirlwind night in the NYC during our fifteen-hour layover from Bolivia to Turkey. A few of us stayed in a hotel (Thank you Holiday Inn Express, your continental breakfast was fantastic.), went to see Times Square, and spent a fabulous hour or so in the Green Acres area Target. At this Target I was able to purchase necessities such as a cardigan, new jeans, and peanut butter that didn’t cost $15 USD.

We also had a quick layover in Istanbul, where we got to have some lovely Turkish Delight, which actually was pretty good. Fun day.

All in all its been a crazy week but I’m looking forward to this month and I’m excited to share it with everyone! Love yall, thanks for reading!

Welcome to Albania!!
