The title of this blog is a direct quote from my fantastic team leader, Linsey Thomas after living together for about a week. Oh the joys of community.

Alright so I realize that I am a terrible blogger and somewhere deep down I knew this from the beginning, so instead of writing the 8 or so blogs I should have written for Peru I’m going to do one big picture/video blog. Enjoy.

This was our project for the month, we sanded, re-sanded, patched, and then re-sanded these little beauties for a few hours every day.

KG and I workin' hard, pretty sure we are all going to get cancer because we inhaled a lot of whatever was on the pews in the first place and the legitimate workers had masks on the whole time…

This is George, he was our overseer for the month, and he was so much fun. Super fantastic man…also we taught him how to hand hug. Good times.

One of my favorite days on the race so far, we got to be a part of our church's baptism day, and we went down to the river, sang hymns, and baptized people into the kingdom of Christ! So exciting!!

This is Marco, the son of a missionary family in Pucallpa, he was such fun. The monkey was pretty cool too. Marco's family took such good care of us while we were in Pucallpa, his mom Rosemary brought us everywhere, even to take my teammate Jessica to get her wisdom teeth taken out. She also made us some pretty fantastic pizza and let us hang out with her really cool kids.  Overall the Drochner family is amazing. Thanks for everything!!

Our Peruvian rents, and the team. They were so incredible and loved us so much. We are so grateful for the time we were able to spend with them, the dance parties, and all of the veggie patties mom made us for dinner. Oh, and panqueques, I'm not really sure what they were made out of but they tasted pretty much like beignets and so were my favorite.

My favorite non-Jesus affliated moment, snakes are cool.

Our Peruvian rents waving goodbye to us from the bus, surrounded by my most favorite form of transportation, the mototaxi.  Bittersweet moment.

Our time in Peru was many things, including but not limited too: hot, sweaty, gross(us, not Peru) but also filled with love, joy, learning, and team bonding. A month that I'll never forget and was over so quickly. Whew, already on to month three.

And this concludes the photo portion of our entertainment, please enjoy the below video to round off your viewing of my month in Peru.
