Something really exciting has happened, and that is that I am FULLY FUNDED. No words will ever explain just how overwhelmed and thankful I am by the support my family, friends and my community have shown me. None of this would’ve been possible at all without you guys accepting God’s call and being apart of this experience with me. Your donations, prayers and love have not gone unnoticed. God has proven to be so faithful and never breaks His promises. I know more than anything that this is why I was created. This pre-trip experience and witnessing these small miracles is something I will carry with me forever.
Now that I am fully funded everything is becoming so, so real. I am having a hard time believing I will be saying goodbye to the USA in less than 60 days. Right now I am getting all things finalized so I can be prepared to leave for training camp on the 25th of this month. Today I got my vaccinations that are needed for the trip… yellow fever hurts by the way. I have some more gear that I need to purchase, learn how to use (like a tent… but cool thing is I will be a proud home owner), and learn how to pack (also a tent… how the heck does that go in a back pack). Overall I am so excited and constantly asking myself “how is my life real?”.
Please continue to pray for my awesome squad and I. I cant wait to meet them n about two weeks. Just from talking with them in a group message I can already tell they are the most wonderful people. I am so privileged to call them my family for 9 months!
**** side note **** I have already made a plan to get T-shirts ordered if anyone would like to buy one. Since I am fully funded, that will go towards my gear and living for 9 months.
