This past weekend for my friend Sydney’s birthday we went to explore Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, a volcano and crater lake in Ecuador. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I think it ties as “the coolest thing on my race” with the sunrise over the Himalayas, which is saying a lot. We had pretty nice days, and no one got super atmosphere sick, but it was a hard hike.
When we were up at the glacier of Cotopaxi, which is over 16,000 feet, I couldn’t believe just how beautiful God made this earth. It is so crazy and blows my mind every single time. At the top of Quilotoa, I felt the same expounding awe that I did at Cotopaxi.
God made these beauties just for us. Even if I was the only one here, He would have still created it for me. It’s just a sweet reminder of just how much He loves us, and that’s even more than He loves the birds of the air, the fish in the sea, or even the life in the land. He loves me, you, and every single person so much more.
So enjoy some pictures that don’t even capture the grandiose of it all…
