These past three weeks in Costa Rica have been amazing. I lost my luggage (and got it back), started teaching kindergarten, helped throw two events at the school, celebrated Costa Rica’s Independence Day, and have eaten lots of mangos.
My team and I have been staying in San Pedro, Costa Rica working with an organization called Zoe Future Leaders. Here we have been teaching and assisting in various K-12 classes and helping the church with whatever they need. The people here care about us so much and are constantly looking for ways to pour into us. I have been so blessed by our ministry and look forward to seeing what each day holds. In fact, this past weekend our church put on a retreat for us. During this time we built deeper relationships with the members of the church and went deeper in our faith with God. At one point in our retreat the pastor asked the members of Zoe church to let the Holy Spirit guide them and pray for someone from the World Race. Daniela, a student at Zoe school and a sweet friend of mine, came up to me during this time and I felt as if God was speaking directly through her. I could not believe what she was praying over me. she knew everything I was worried about and told me to give them all to God. It was one of the most magical and mind blowing things that has ever happened to me. This is just one of the many ways that I have been blessed by our community and I love them all so much.
Below I will include a few pictures to show our ministry and the crazy adventure that is happening in Costa Rica.
