So-team 24/7 is the first team in Mexico…..ever. We only had a translator for the last three days of our two and a half weeks there.
my good pal Breier and I are the only ones who kind of speak Spanish on the team. Needless to say, there has been a lot of miscommunication over the past two weeks-not even just because anyone misunderstood, but just wrong information given. We have been on our toes all month. It’s actually been pretty hilarious. So buckle up and I’ll take you on the journey we’ve been on.
first of all-we thought this month would look more like ATL (ask the Lord-going out and finding future hosts in Mexico ie. Unsung Heroes)
well we were already set up with some hosts and there was already a plan for the month
also we thought someone would be traveling with us all month-and there wasn’t lol
which is totally cool-just you know miscommunication

There was even more miscommunication than this, but these are the highlights for sure. We learned how to be flexible this month.
Mexico was tough. We moved four times and had to readjust daily. Communication was tough. Even though is was difficult, we were still able to form relationships in each new town. If we had a sponser for the month, it would for sure have been Google Translate.
It felt like we were on tour a bit. Even from each new home we traveled throughout the different cities to different churches to put on programs. Singing. Skits. Testimonies. By the end of the month we got the hang of it. Mexico stretched us & taught us what true flexibility and hospitality looks like. We were spoiled by locals with so much good food and Coca Cola.
24/7 broke the ice for the World Race in Mexico & it was truly an honor.
