I’m doing exactly what I want to be doing

I am where I want to be

Yet I’m not

I’m in a bumpy car

In India

On the way to a village

“Get out sister”

Jump

Go

Move your things

No not there

Here

I’m on the world race

Doing what I want to be doing

But I’m not

So many things are controlled

What I can wear

What I can’t

I’m supposed to be flexible

In all ways

When a host tells you to jump you’re supposed to say how high

But it makes me want to crawl in my tent

7 months in-less than 5 to go

I don’t want to go home

But I don’t want to be here

It’s this weird in between

What is your dream?

Are you living it?

Is it not what you expected?

Or are you at a bump in the road?

Maybe you’re on an Indian road that has 24 bumps in a row.

Maybe there’s one every now and again.

Keep going.

Keep running your race.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Look at the scars on his hands.

They’re there because of you.

Because we sin time and time again.

Jesus took on our sins in his flesh to save us

Jesus was on a bumpy road when he walked this earth. A very bumpy one. One that led him to the cross with nails in his hands.

He bled.

He saved us.

He had wounds.

His hands healed, but the scars are still there.

The bumps in the road may lead to wounds.

Thats okay. If you run to Jesus he will heal them-maybe not when or how you expected, but they will scar.

A scar is proof of the battle.

Proof of the bumps.

The struggles.

But they are healed.

Maybe you’re on a bumpy road in India.

Or you’re on a smooth one in America.

Bumps will happen but what matters is how you bounce back.

Stay on the road Jesus wants you on.

If you’re on the wrong road-take a u turn.

But don’t just turn around because the road is bumpy.

Don’t quit. Keep moving forward.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

He’s got you & can help you handle any & every bump in the road.
