This one is a wee bit late, seeing as I have been in Bolivia for almost 2 weeks… But nonetheless, I couldn’t let my favorite continent (at least so far) slip by without sharing some of the things I learned. I know I gave 100 things for Asia but I was there for 5 months. Also I didn’t sleep last night (yay buses).

So without further adieu…

1. I was made for Ethiopian coffee. Strong and black, baby.
2. The macchiatos aren’t bad either.
3. Adding sugar to black coffee is disgusting.
4. Fasting is a beautiful way to hear from God.
5. There’s nothing like a sunset worship sessions on the roof with 6 of the coolest people you know.
6. There’s a surprising amount of French fries in Africa.
7. It’ll all work out.
8. Sometimes you’re more in the way than helpful, and that’s okay.
9. Injera should not be eaten more than once in your life.
10. My blue eyes terrify children.
11. Never take yourself so seriously that you can’t make a fool of yourself.

39. I have the best parents in the world. Serving with them was both a pleasure and an honor.
40. Initiate the difficult conversations- it’s worth it.
41. Look at the stars every night. They show how much God loves us.
42. Ministry is always an option, just look around.
43. Rwandan worship sessions… they’re the best. If you know, you know.
44. It’s possible to love 920 kids without doing a single thing.
45. I’ll never stop missing Poumpli, Princess, or our Rwanda host and his family.

49. We serve the greatest and only God- and we must tell people.
50. I’ll never be able to sum up what I learned in Africa. The truth is, I’ll never be the same. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.
