“…How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messengers who bring the good news…”

Isaiah 52:7

It was four years ago that I sat on the top of my favorite Jamaican mountain at the City of Refuge children’s home and dreamed of something like this. I love God. I love people. I love culture. And as much as I love learning, college had nearly sucked the life out of me. I simply prayed “God, if you want to use me, show me and I’ll do it well.”

It was last summer that I looked into the skies of El Salvador and expressed to God all of my dreams and desires, as if I needed to inform Him. He gently reminded me that He sees me, He knows me and He loves me. In that moment I felt overwhelmed by the plans He might have for me.

It was one year ago to date that I discovered The World Race. I made it my goal to complete my college education and take advantage of this amazing opportunity immediately following.

This past year has been one of the most challenging, but God continues to show Himself faithful and I continue to discover just how perfect His timing is. There’s been so many confirmations, I have total peace about every single bit of it. I cannot express in words just HOW excited I am to begin my journey with my team. It’s going to be amazing, stressful, beautiful, awful, exciting, terrible and wonderful probably all at the same time. My life is not my own, I was born to make Him known.

I can’t wait.

So, here we go. In 11 months I will be traveling to 11 countries for 11 months. Don’t mind me but I’ll just be crying for 22 months straight. Here are my countries: Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Haiti and Dominican Republic.

August 2016, I’m coming for you!

“Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.”
