In church, we have been studying the life and impact of Esther. She has always been one of my favorite persons in the Bible because of her courage and obedience (not to mention, I might be a slight feminist). Furthermore, there are many things about her influence that encourage and inspire me, but one thing in particular impacted me on that Sunday: her action!

The fifth chapter of Esther talks about the request that she poses to King Xerxes.  Previously, she prayed about her potential proposition to the King, she sought out counsel, and then she TOOK ACTION!

The strongest action, and one of the most prevalent words in the Bible, is LOVE! (I Corinthians 13:13) God made us in His image (Gen. 1:27) and God is love (I John 4:8).

In the preparation of The World Race, and especially once on the journey, love is the highest form of action that we can possess!

“In the same way, faith by itself,
if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
– James 2:17
