About me: My name is Lindsay Ritter and apparently I’m doing this crazy thing called The World Race.

I am originally from Ohio, but I’ve grown up all over the place. Moving is nothing new in my life. I learned very quickly that “home” wasn’t a building, rather, “home” was the people I was with. I’d consider my “home state” to be Texas. Currently I’m living in Memphis, TN. I am graduating in May 2014 with a degree in Modern Music Ministry with a concentration in Worship Leadership and a minor in Songwriting. Barely 2 months after graduation, I will be leaving with the July 2014 Route 4 crew on The World Race.

A little more about me: I grew up in a Christian home and have been blessed to have parents that have shown me what it looks like to love God. This pursuit to truly try and love God has led to me to some crazy places. Growing up was difficult personally, and I’ve had to learn and grow through some painfully difficult seasons. It’s through those seasons that I’ve learned how loving and faithful the Lord truly is. It’s because of those painful seasons that when The Lord has told me “to go” or to “just let go,” I know it’s in my best interest to listen and obey.

I absolutely love music and leading others in music. Worship leading is definitely a passion of mine. I’m a songwriter and a story teller. I just love to write. My life is documented in various journals both on paper and electronically.

Random things about me:

Something that I almost always have in my backpack: hacky sack.

I’m 5ft.

I used to have a strange obsession with toe shoes.

Something you almost will never see me without: my obnoxiously bright orange nalgene

My drink of choice: dark, bold, black coffee.

This blog is where I’ll be journal the pre-race and during-race journey. I am excited to share more as it goes along!
