Words cannot begin to describe the past 48 hours of travel…I believe my best story yet! My day started Friday afternoon as team Luminous took off the the Bangkok airport on route to our next country, Vietnam. We just had one minor obstacle (actually-it was quite huge!), our visa approval letter to enter Vietnam did not get sent to our e-mail in time to print and bring to the airport. We did, on the other hand, have an e-mail verification letting us know that everything would be handled. SO…we got in line to check in with Air Asia and to no avail, they would not let us check in without the approval letter. Oh no—what to do?!
We tried every route possible: begging, pleading, and even lost our temper (sad to say…and repented of that later) all in effort to avoid missing our flight and paying the $400 fee to move it to the next day. Well, needless to say, we received the approval letter just in the knick of time and ran to check in but….TOO LATE!
So we ended up having to pay the extra $400 dollar fee, slept on the hard floor in the airport and got right back up ready to go on our adventure the next day.
That leads me to this morning. We boarded the flight, got to Vietnam to get our actual visa and oh wait, they said our approval letter is a fake?! What?! A fake! We were speechless and stuck. We once again begged, plead and this time, held our tempers and were very patient and kind. I did, however, spend hours crying at the thought of spending over $1000 in group flights and 2 days of travel all to sit in the immigration room and never even enter the beloved country I was so eager to visit!
We are now waiting to board our flight back to Bangkok—and in all honesty, we have no idea what He has planned next for us or our month ahead. Please keep us in your thoughts! We love you all!
