Editor’s Note~This blog was written a little over a week ago on my way to Switzerland:

I am sitting on an idle train on route from Kiev, Ukraine to Budapest, Hungary due to some unforeseen strike. I had planned on sightseeing today in Budapest for the few hours on my way to our final country, Switzerland. As I sat outside on the cold asphalt waiting for the final word of when our train would resume its course, God began to speak to me some truths.
Idleness: Some would call this a form of laziness but in my mind, it is more so not making the most of any given opportunity. Which leads me to my next point….
Strikes (choosing to sit out): A funny concept- to stop the exact job we were intended to do for our benefit or personal gain. How many times do we as Christians ‘strike’ God’s plan for our own? Imagine all the people out there waiting for us to come to them, when instead, we are simply think about ourselves, our comfort, our needs.
As Christians, God intends for us to turn the world upside down. He wants us to see all things with a whole new perspective. Not the same drab way the World sees life.
How many times in my life have I been on strike to God’s perfect plan and chosen to make my own instead? Lately, I have been making an earnest effort to see all things that come my way with His perspective….including my time in Budapest. I intended it for sightseeing, He intended it for teaching me a valuable lesson.
I have one more month to give it my all. It has been said over and over again that we are not just finishing the race, we are warming up for what is to come.
I am excited about the future plan that God has for me and YOU! He knows when to change our plans—but let’s make sure it is Him and not us directing the course.
What course are you on?
