Below is a journal entry after one of our days in China. I will not disclose the location or the area of China that we were in and ministering. All information is contained for the protection of the contacts and fellow believers in the area.

Background information: our team was sent around China hitting 5 different cities in 16 days. Our days were pretty much spent one day at a transfer city and then 4 days at each of the other locations. We were doing ATL (Ask the Lord). The amount of time spent in each location was left up to the Holy Spirit’s leading and where he was taking us. The city we were in when this occurred was an all Muslim community.

November 11, 2008

The girls and I were enjoying our Sabbath by exploring the city that we are in. We walked for about 3 hours and at the end of our walk we came upon a muslim marketplace. It was covered with people, clothing, gadgets, dead animals, and the selling of animals. We were enjoying the culture of the place where God had put us.

Cindy and I were walking in front followed closely by Tangi and Katie right behind us. Then there was a loud, “Pop, pop, bang!” Among the mix of the 4 Americans that were there, were women and children all of Muslim descent, and a makeshift bomb landed in between all of us. The bomb consisted of paper, a lighter, and some wire. Nothing that could really do any damage, more just to scare us. Cindy and I looked down and then straight up at a boy, who is around five, and we looked at each other. What a sad exchange it was. He looks at me thinking, “Did you just do this?” Then I look at him and think, “Did you just do this?” Upon recognizing the fear in each other’s eyes the realization came that it was neither of us, mother’s then began to pull their children a little further away from us noticing that we were the target of the “bomb”. We moved away from that place and continued on in our journey completely unharmed, just a little rattled. Cindy and I immediately began to praise God because we were rejoicing in our persecution. Maybe a weird way for people to handle it, but totally freeing, liberating, and giving God control of situations that are out of our hands.

We are definitely making waves here. That was made evident. We were are not frightened by what happened, nor do we feel as though the Holy Spirit is telling us to move cities. Are time is not up. It is more evident than before that we are in the place that the Lord as intend for us to be.

What glorious riches await these children of the King.China will change the face of the rest of the world. A revolution is about to take place in the name of Jesus. The Lord Almighty reigns in the place. The people’s realization will be awakened and a massive shift for the kingdom will occur. We have given one of our friends the name Peter. It is a prophetic name for what he is going to do in is own home town and in China. What a great man of God he is and he doesn’t even know it! Praise the Lord!
