I am your sustainer, your life force, your fresh breath, your life support. If you pull the plug on me, you pull the plug on your own life. You may be alive and well, but on the inside you are dead. Apart from me you are nothing; you have nothing, and will be nothing. Everything on this earth is mine; there is nothing you can give me that is not already my own. I created it, I own it. I loan it to you to see what you will give back to me. How much do you trust me? If I lend you your life, will you live it for me? Will you give over your finances to me, your family, your friends, and your future? You are who you are because of what I have given you. Are you too selfish to give back to me what is already my own, or will you surrender everything you have and watch how I can bless it and turn it into so much more? You have no idea what I can do. I can do things you have never imagined, if only you will let me. I won’t come in uninvited, but I will be patiently waiting to step in and take over whenever you ask. I have never been apart from you; you are the one who has separated yourself from me. If you are feeling silence, don’t be filled with fear, but with Joy that I am working on something in your life that will take time. Do not forget, we don’t keep the same time; we are not in the same time zone, my clock can be much faster or slower than yours. Don’t be surprised when your prayers are answered right away, but do not lose faith when you don’t have a prayer answered for many days or many years. I am your father, I created you, I know you, I love you. I know what you need and when you need it. Trust me with all things, have faith that I can do all things, and believe that through me you can do all things. When you place your life in my hands, you no longer have to make the decisions or call the shots, I am in control.
