Now that the Tyler Perry movie I call Training Camp is over, big things have been poppin.
I sold my surfboard (heart…breakinggg…)
I have my car, bed, and furniture up for sale. My room is up to be leased.
I still need to have my tshirt design printed to sell them.
I have handmade necklaces for sale. I have painted flower pots for sale. I have info cards to hand to people. I’m organizing a fundraising dinner.
I figured out that I can’t get the Yellow Fever vaccine afterall, but I can still go on the field.
My plane tickets back to Georgia for launch have been purchased. I have ALL my gear and still need to return some of the wrong gear that came in the mail.
God has really been coming through for me in some major logistical ways.

Now, to pack everything else I own (mainly clothes, art supplies, paintings, pictures, and tools) into a storage shed made for a lawn mower (that I still need to purchase from sears for $200), borrow a truck, and plop that on my hanai auntys land 20 miles away.
I’m putting things into four piles of save, give away, throw away, and take with me- on the daily.

Training camp taught me three major things about packing
1. Don’t bring anything valuable, because it’s not worth being bummed if it gets lost, stolen, or ruined.
2. Pack only the essentials. You may resent what you bring, because it’s LITERALLY weighing you down.
3. Allergies are a beast and bringing 11 mo worth of plant based protein powder takes up a lot of space.

All in all, aside from the fundraising goal of $16,257 I have to make by December, everything has been smooth sailing.
I’m blessed to be spending my month back home working part time and getting to catch up with friends and fam while I’m back in the 808. So while this may look like a random logistical blog, it’s really a huge praise report. With fundraising, God has been showing me, it’s not the close family and friends you’d expect support from, it seems to be random distant friends or friends of friends, which is almost even more beautiful that the unexpected have it on their heart to partner with Gods mission.

God has been teaching me something new everyday since I’ve been back home. He’s been providing me with opportunities to make just enough to pull this thing off. He’s has been answering some big questions I’ve had for a while and placing new ones on my heart. He’s helping me grow exponentially in spirit and in faith and that is beautiful. 🙂
