God has opened the doors for me to take part in a journey of a lifetime over the next 15 months. I have briefly explained to many of you where all I will be going, but I figured I’d give you some more details on where I’ll be and what I will be doing.
As I write this I am currently on a flight from Atlanta to London. From there I will connect to Cape Town, South Africa for the next month and a half. Here I will be working for Global LEAD as an intern on one of their study abroad summer trips. I was a student on this trip a year ago and it was a big part of the life changing summer that I had. This year I will be part of the staff helping students have the same great experience that I had the privileged to have last year. We will be hiking, going on safaris, bungee jumping, shark cage diving, serving in a local community, all while developing leaders in and out of the classroom. It is such a honor to be able to be apart of this amazing program and I am beyond excited to work and grow with Joanna and Pierce (pictured below) as we usher 81 college students into the Global LEAD family.

After Cape Town I have the opportunity to fly straight to Addis Ababa and join Ordinary Hero once again in Ethiopia. This will be my third time in the past year that I have visited here to work with OH in different orphanages and ministries around the city. I am beyond excited to be able to return for a couple weeks and the team that will be I will be joining. It is full of family and friends who are returning from last summer along with several who will be joining for the first time. Ordinary Hero is an incredible organization with a mission that has become close to my heart. I always look forward to working with them and seeing how God shows up on our trips!
Last, but definitely not least, I will be taking part in the World Race starting in September. I will be gone for 11 months serving God in 11 different countries around the world. I am leaving with W squad and our route (in no particular order) includes Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa. We will be paired with a different ministry in each country and work with them for the month. I honestly don’t know many details about the trip, but I do know that I won’t return the same. I will write much more about the World Race as it gets closer to departure time. For now, my blogs will be covering my first couple trips this summer.
So what is the best way to stay in touch and keep up with my travels? I will constantly be posting updates on Facebook, Twitter (@Lincoln_Vallett) , and Instagram (@lincolnvallett).
You can have all my blogs sent via email by clicking on “update alerts” to the left and subscribing.
That’s all for my first blog, just wanted to give you guys an overview of everything that I will be doing over the next year. I look forward to updating you guys with stories and pictures from here on out. Thanks to all the friends and family who have loved and supported me over the years. Definitely would have this opprotunity if it weren’t for y’all.
May all the glory be to Him!
God Bless,
Lincoln
