My name is Lincoln Vallett and I'll be taking off on the World Race in September with W Squad!
I am 22 years young.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.
Graduating in May from the University of Tennessee with a degree in International Business. Go Vols!
I've been blessed with the best family anyone could ask for. My sister Alex is 19 and finishing up her freshman year at Auburn University. We share many of the same passions and wear our parents out with all our travels and adventure, but they have been loving and supportive every step of the way.
Some random facts about myself:
I'm always looking for an adventure.
I'll find any excuse to drink coffee.
I am legally blind and recently had contacts permanently put INSIDE my eyes.
I have lived in a fraternity house for the past 3 years. I consider it training for World Race living conditions.
I'm a sucker for any catchy song.
I used to be the worlds biggest dweeb. I'm talkin inches thick glasses, braces, shorts above the belly button, velcro shoes, etc.
I'm all about some Snapchat. Username LinkthaStink.
Most importantly, God got a hold of me last summer while I was in Ethiopia. There I learned what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus and that's where I consider my walk to have truly began. I am young in the faith and have much to learn, but started feeling called to the World Race early this winter. At first I was filled with excuses like "I'm not ready for something like that yet" or "that's too intense." I kept feeling more and more led and finally decided to take a leap of faith. I definitely feel like I am in over my head (perhaps we all are), but I couldn't be more excited to see what God has in store for my squad and myself over the next year!
