When people ask me what I am doing after high school i’m always very proud and happy to tell them that I am not going straight to college, because I have chosen to serve my God instead. Many times I am asked why I have chosen to do the World Race. The answer is simple. Jesus gave his life so that I may have an everlasting one so the least that I could do is give up 9 months to tell others about all the many blessings he has bestowed upon my life. There is a quote that says “Every heart with Christ is a missionary, and every heart without Christ is a mission field.” I believe that it’s our responsibility as Christians to tell others about Christ. The only way for the kingdom of God to be expanded is for someone to tell the story. You’re the only one who can tell your life story. No one can tell your story and how Jesus has improved your life since you have accepted him into your heart like you can. To be a missionary doesn’t always mean to go to another country to tell the good news. You can be a missionary right where you’re at by simply going out and telling others about him, or inviting someone to church, telling others Jesus loves them, the list goes on and on. Do not be ashamed of your faith, because Jesus was not ashamed of his love for you when he died on the cross.
