- Seek God Daily
- The race is a hard and it will attack every part of you. If you do not keep up a good habit of going to the Lord daily the race is going to be really hard and you will not understand why the Lord has you exactly where you are.
- Be Flexible and Open to Learning
- You are about to live with about 30 other people who are from all over the states who also have different religious and social backgrounds. Community living isn’t easy and the best way to enjoy it is to understand where people are coming from by being in a constant state of learning. A steady schedule never exist
- Be Down for an Adventure….Constantly
- One thing I have discovered on the race is that my favorite days are the ones filled with spontaneous ideas. Adventures are a constant opportunity on the race and I have never regretted going on the not beaten path.
- Have Uber, Uber Eats, Venmo, what’s app, and Google Translate downloaded on your phone and your accounts for them activate
- Just listen to this advice. You will need all these apps and will come in clutch for those who don’t have it.
- Carry Toilet Paper at ALL Times
- Toilet paper is hard to come by in Asian countries and in others you will most likely be paying for it. So just bring a roll of toilet paper with you .
For my future racers reading this. These are just small pieces of advice I wish someone told m before I launched. I hope these 5 tips help you as you go along your race.
