This marks the beginning of a new chapter! The World Race is approaching and I am so excited to see how God begins to move through the experience leading up to this trip and the trip itself. I am taking the Gap Year in September 2018 and for 9 months I will be travelling the world sharing the gospel and learning about God.
My heart from missions branches from my love for God and my dream of travelling. It is like a 2-in-1 experience! I not only get to see the world, I get to share the Gospel with people who desperately need Him! What gives me this restlessness to share God with people? Well, I like to look at it like this:
Have you ever had or experienced something so amazing and so great that you want to share it with someone? Like a new song, tasty food, or book? Imagine that tenfold! I see a world desperate for peace, longing for love, searching for purpose and I HAVE it! I have found and experienced forgiveness, love, peace, purpose, passion. Why wouldn’t I share this gift, this “secret” that everyone needs and is looking for?
Jesus tells us to go and make disciples of men (and women). I obey not because I HAVE to but because I WANT to!
God has given me so much! I can never repay him because He is perfect and I am only a wretched sinner, but I can glorify Him! That’s my purpose in life!
Matthew 28:19 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
