Did I take care of subleasing documents? Is there anything else I could possibly stuff in my backpack? What is an external bank account anyways? These (and many more) are a few of the questions that have been running through my head over the past week as I prepare to drive to Atlanta next Wednesday for LAUNCH!!!!!! The final countdown has begun and friends, I am so excited!

As preparations come to a close, there is something I would like to invite ya’ll into. I would like to ask each and every one of you to help me finish the race! As each of you has rallied around me financially, it has been amazing (and such an honor) to see how my Heavenly Father is such a provider. As of today, I have $10,868, which is sixty four percent of my goal. THIS IS AWESOME! At the beginning of the fundraising process, raising even one thousand seemed daunting. I love the miraculous, huge provision of God. While this is amazing and I have met the goal needed for me to launch in the next several days, this is not enough for me to complete the race that God has called me to. So, I would like to ask you, the body of Christ, to help me finish the race by supporting me financially. I have full faith that God will lay the perfect amount to give on the heart of the perfect person and that through every prayer, every moment of faith and every donation, He will be glorified!

Today I went for a run through the beautiful Texas hill country. While finding a hill in College Station is a rare and exciting experience, San Antonio can’t get enough of them and today, during my last mile, my legs were reminding me of that fact. This week, I had added some distance to my runs and it all kind of hit me this morning. The first couple miles I spent trying to press into intimacy with Jesus, talking with Him about what was on my mind and whatever caught my eye as I ran; however, it wasn’t until my last mile, when I was painfully conscious of making the choice to take every single next step, that I experienced a sweet moment of encouragement and intimacy with the Holy Spirit. He reminded me that He had grace for every single stride, no matter how slow or how fast, that it was a crazy, huge wonderful blessing that I could run in the first place, that He had personally created every, bone, muscle and tendon in my body to work together to propel me forward, that He had overcome the enemy, lies and sin and in between each of these revelations was His voice, “Just keep running Lila. This is discipline, literally just putting one foot in front of the other. You can do this. You actually have so much more in you than you realize.” As I run this race and embrace the financial challenges that come with it, I am excited to experience this last mile of financial hurdles with ya’ll and look forward to the grace and encouragement that God has for us!
