A very very long flight took us to the countries of the Japanese and Chinese cultures. The airport shops in Japan were filled with things like little dried octopuses, boxes of oriental sweets and Japanese books and newspapers.
To welcome our two new teammates, Francois and Sanru, we bought a box of quite interesting looking sweets!
From there, we took a 5 hour flight to Hong Kong! The city is amazing, with colourful signs, unending shops and so many people in every street.
There we went to look at the show of lights, with lasers and colour changing lights on buildings colouring the nightsky. We also went shopping in the busy streets, what an experience!!
After our few days’ stay, we took a 3 hour bus to the station where we climbed on a 36 hour train to the town in Northwest China where we are going to stay. After that a taxi took us on an amazing ride through the snow topped mountains of China. As the soft snow were falling down on the Christmaslike trees and the Chinese buildings, it felt like being in a fairytale…
China is an amazing country, I’m really looking forward to the great things our Father is planning for us to experience and to do!
