-We got locked out of our room for three days because there is only one key and you need it not only to get in the room but out!

-We crossed the road and almost died because cars don’t stop or even slow down? Oh wait, that was EVERY time we crossed the road!

– We went to the Noodle Lady’s place for the first time and laughed so hard we cried.

-We went to St. Sophia’s Cathedral and Central Street with our Chinese friend Rebecca and found out how sweet and giving her heart for God is.

-We were so excited to go to the “barbeque” place and found it’s just weird stuff grilled on a stick. And so out of our budget we ended up just getting one stick each and going to Noodle Lady afterwards.

-We stumbled into Milk and Honey and felt like God was going to do big things in Harbin.

-We ate “beautiful girls” a crazy fruit that tastes like a cross between a grape and a tomato.

-We got to go sing Karaoke with our sweet Chinese friends and had the time of our lives, not to mention have Bible study with them afterwards!

-Carolyn was craving noodles so badly she started replacing words with the word noodle and now we literally always have the word noodle somewhere in our sentences.

– We were told we were going to be singing at a “Chinese party” and it turned out to be us singing “Firework” by Katy Perry on a legit stage, lights and everything, in front of over 2,000 Chinese students, with only a few hours’ notice. We were rock stars. It was awesome.

-We went to the Forbidden City and found an amazing little art gallery.

-We climbed a couple thousand steps to see the Great Wall of China, and it was so worth the sore calves for the next few days.

– We shared our hearts with each other, our struggles and fears, and started growing into the women of God we were meant to be.
