THIS IS MY LIFE.

In the past two months, Joshua and I have spent almost as many hours in transportation than settling into one place. Welcome to the life of a Squad Leader. Since my introduction to squad leading, God has placed an insatiable desire for my people. He has answered prayers for wisdom, discernment, joy, the filling of His Most Awesome Presence in my emptiness in two weeks I’ve spent in Africa. He has also laid a very challenging travel schedule in front of Joshua and myself.

I LOVE IT.

My God has heard my heart. He has responded. Now… It’s time to trust, persevere, and endure the challenges of the road ahead. As I continue to discover the details of this season’s calling, God has been so diligent in showing me WHO my ministry is…

The past 2 months, I have not stepped foot in “ministry” settings except for half a day’s involvement with Casa Shalom in Bucharest.  Each time we arrive to a team’s location, it’s their “off-day”. Sometimes it’s a Sabbath, some days it’s just a day to take off of ministry. God is showing me daily that my calling is no longer the nations. He’s protecting my heart by keeping me from the temptation of losing focus! HE’S SUCH A GOOD DADDY!

In this, I have learned to see my squad first. I have every chance to hear their hearts, to take walks and discuss the sunsets, to pray and cry out for MORE LOVE and MORE JESUS, to hear the hard discussions and celebrate the big victories.

This is my life.

It must be hard to understand for others that I have raised thousands of dollars and traveled countless hours around the world just to minister to 65 Americans that want to look more like Jesus. COULDN’T I HAVE DONE THIS AT HOME?

Nope.

I would trade in any expectation I have ever had or could ever imagine for this place that God has me now. God’s calling is tailored to the design of who He calls. My name has been whispered for this season.

My love for my squad is as thick as Ruth’s for Naomi…

“But Ruth said,”Don’t force me to leave you; don’t make me go home. Where you go, I go; and where you live, I’ll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; where you die, I’ll die, and that’s where I’ll be buried, so help me God- not even death itself is going to come between us!”

Squad leading can be seen as long hours on busses, too much internet time, emails galore, tough conversations, full of silent burdens, wisdom necessary, humbling more than prideful, and a swift kick to the body’s limits…

Most importantly… squad leading is falling in LOVE with your squad. All the other stuff is covered in those four letters.

So, as I walk out the next 7 months of my Race and you read my fellow Racers’ blogs of freedom discovered, healings, deliverence, God epiphonies, community breakthroughs, terrible travel days and how God moved through them…

…Know that THAT is where my heart is!

as Ruth spoke to Naomi about the road to come…

THIS IS MY LIFE.

love love to my P-Squad
