Like I hinted at in the last blog, New Zealand so far has
been incredible. We were able to take a
trip to the beach last week, which was absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed lying out in the sun and dipping my
newly formed dreadlocks in the salty water, which helps them stay intact. Unfortunately, I did suffer a nasty sunburn,
due to the hole in the ozone right above us, which makes the sun’s rays quite
merciless.

Last week, each team had the opportunity to create a video
using this prompt: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like…” Our team had a lot of fun
creating this video, and we hope you enjoy it! If you watch closely you just might see yours truly a couple of times in
the video, including a clip of Noe & I doing a little cliff jumping at the
beach. J Make sure you check out the other teams’
videos, as well.  They’re almost as
awesome as ours is (just kidding).

In other news, we have officially started our first ministry of the
World Race! Team
Komboa, along with two other M-squad teams (Trumpets of One and 317), traveled to Wellington,
NZ, which is at the southern tip of the North Island. We left bright and early Saturday morning,
and got to enjoy a lovely ten-hour bus ride to our destination. What are we doing there, you ask? I’m happy to announce that we are going to be
counselors at a Christian summer camp (yes, it is summer here), which starts tomorrow.   I’ve never been a counselor at an overnight
camp before, but I do LOVE working with kids and have been a day-camp counselor
as well as a youth counselor on a cruise ship before, so it will be a perfect
fit for me.

As always, I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers, and
thanks for reading!
