Do you ever
have those moments where something literally takes your breath away, and even
nearly knocks you off of your feet?
I’ve noticed that God causes me to have those kinds of experiences quite
often.

There are
countless ways that God can speak to a person. Perhaps it is through the lyrics or melody of a beautiful
song. Maybe it is through the
words found on the pages of a book.
It could be a gentle whisper in the soul, or a loud, booming voice in
the mind. It could be a
feeling you get in your heart. For
me, God speaks through beauty; specifically, through His creation. What’s more, He does it in such a way that I feel as if He
has intentionally handcrafted each mountain, each sunrise, each delicate flower
for my personal enjoyment.

A few
nights ago during camp, we were all running around outside playing a game
when the brilliant sunset caught my eye.
This was the moment where I was so drawn in by the beauty of my Creator
that I literally grew short of breath.
Sunsets get me every time.
He uses such things to romance me, to sweep me off my feet. I know that no man
could ever compete with Him in that regard.

Because New
Zealand is such an incredibly beautiful country, God has continually been
overwhelming my senses with the glory of creation. It’s almost as if He is lavishing me with His love and
beauty in order to prepare me for the less beautiful and lovely things that are
sure to come within the next 10 months.
In the meantime, I will soak up every breathtaking moment that He showers
me with.

So let Him draw you into His beauty, too.
