Okay I know I know. Long time no see. Nepal has been crazy and I can’t wait to share about it all without filtering everything! Because of it being a closed country and for the safety of our ministry host we were given a lot of boundaries of what we could do or say or post. But now I can be open and honest about everything (on my blogs)!
I miss being able to say “I love jesus!!” Not that I ever really said that out loud randomly.. but now that I can’t.. well now more than ever do I appreciate the freedom of religion and speech. Now more than I ever do I desire to tell everyone about the Good News.
We are so fearful often times to being Jesus into conversations with people in America. We are afraid to ask people if they know Him. We are afraid to step out in faith because maybe they will reject us.
Maybe in 2019 we can become unshakably bold Christians. Maybe I, you, all of us can learn what it truly means to walk in the freedom of Christ. He gives us no fear, and others need that freedom too.
We do need to show others through our actions that we are Christians. But also, we were given a voice for a reason. I feel so blessed to live in a country where Christians are not persecuted. Where we are free to believe what we believe and shout it from the roof tops! Not here, no. Also not in India. How refreshing will Guatemala feel. Just imagine the long term missionaries in these countries. When we are weak He is strong and God has surely made them strong.
I love the song All the Poor and Powerless. During the bridge it sings “and shout it, go on and scream it from the roof tops, go on and tell it to the masses, that he is God”. That’s who we need to be! (Maybe not me in these countries, but sure me when I have the freedom to do so!).
