Ministry Overview:

In Swaziland…

  • each team on squad U had their own Carepoint. Which is where kids go after school and they have bible stories, games, hangout, have choir practice, and have one meal they can actually count on. My carepoint was called The Anchor Center, and I miss them dearly, each and every day.
  • my team Jr Floss also cooked for our squad during the 3 months in Swaziland. I got very close with the two Swazi women we cooked with, Faith & Dole & I miss them dearly.
  • we stayed at a farm for two weeks and helped them by doing manual labor & just ministering to the staff there as well. such good time away from Squad living.
  • We went to Swazi church and became part of their community, day in and day out attending community events with our friends there— because it was home.
  • We played volleyball and soccer after ministry days as well with the teenagers around the villages
  • We helped finish construction on the compound we stayed at. Seeing the process of our home being built is something I will never forget.

Swaziland taught me about my entitlement and God showed me the death of it. I learned to shut my mouth and watch other cultures and listen instead of assume. I learned that God will quickly make mundane days into ones where the memory of them make me miss my home there— because he makes the simple so divine. I learned I need so little, that I love spending hours in silence with God, that squad living is fun but you learn grace and patience real quick. God changed hearts, healed, encouraged, restored, and made bonds that hurt so badly to leave.

In Nepal…

  • prayer walks at temples
  • Women’s Homes
  • Leaper Colonies
  • Evangelizing in the Himalaya Mountains
  • Orphanages
  • Elderly Homes
  • Evangelizing, Christmas, and House Visits In a village for a week. This was the most difficult week for me on the race thus far I think. But God healed so man, saved so many, and showed me he was high above it all the whole time.

Nepal was my most difficult country thus far in the race but I would do it over and over again. I saw his power and redemption in ways my eyes were so unaccustomed to, internally I was sad and overwhelmed. But as I cried out to my Father he heard me and we would have such intimacy and he restored me daily. He became my security and refuge in ways I’d never allowed him to before. Nepal was beautiful and a lovely country with such rich culture, I would never say it wasn’t! As I look back, in the midst of the chaotic city that was busy and overwhelming I held onto Jesus for dear life and he brought me to safety every time.

In India… [my current country. we are here for 2.5 more weeks!]

  • we do church construction for this growing Christian community
  • We teach at 3-4 different schools. Like actual lessons and we also minister to the teachers there.
  • We go to church and usual sing for them or provide a message
  • We conduct their Youth Services in Friday nights
  • We helped an American team last month with a huge VBS in the village we stay at. Like 2,000 kids huge.
  • We pray weekly as a squad for an hour together
  • We go to a rehab center and worship, give testimony’s and hang with the people there.
  • I play volleyball almost everyday with the locals after ministry. Minus past week because of my ankle.
  • We conduct a VBS each Saturday for our village and the surrounding villages which is so fun!
  • We go to the hospital and help out with whatever they need that day
  • We distribute the supplies to the students that are provided by sponsors across the globe.
  • We cook once a week for the squad.
  • We go speak at Conversation English with students from the college where we stay at, so that they can become better in conversation with English!

India has been answered prayers and restoration. I love it here more each day and will be so sad to leave the community I’ve been blessed with here.
