As my time in Malaysia rapidly draws to a close, I just finished a video project I’ve been working on! I interviewed my friends’ responses to these 2 questions:
1) How has God been revealing Himself or His character to you since being on the race?
2) If you had to give advice to a new believer/your younger self, what would it be?
My responses are not in the video (I was the one holding the camera, Mom), so I though I would take some time to answer them below:
God has been showing me how to choose His heart over my own. As I give more of myself over for Him to make new, I find space and ability to step in the fullness of the joy that comes from being loved by Him. If I was giving advice to my younger self, I would say to stop worrying so much and to not get stuck in your head. Life is really beautiful if you can learn to let go of the “what ifs” and instead just simply be.
I hope you enjoy the video! Please listen closely because my squamates have so much wisdom pouring out of them, and the Lord has been moving and growing us like crazy in these first three months.
Update: I am currently at debrief, which is where I will be for two more days. After that, I will be headed to India, where I will be living for the next three months! THANK YOU FOR CARING!
