Hi! I’m Lexi. I am 17 years old, I love being outside, running, art, and I am so excited to be going on the World Race Gap Year!!!
God so clearly spoke that He wanted to send me, and though hesitancy and fear consumed most of my mind initially, I finally said yes. I always thought I would go straight to college, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized these plans of mine did not align with God’s plans for me. I believe that you cannot step out into your calling without stepping out of your comfort zone. For me, I find the most value and comfort in my family, friends, house, and food. God has called me to leave all of this behind for a while. I know He is going to teach me so much about myself and others through the race. I am ready and willing to learn how to depend completely on God while I am so far away from all that I know and find comfort in. You cannot grow without change, and I am looking forward to navigating the many forms of change I will be experiencing along the way. Spending nine months dedicated to serving and loving others is going to be such an incredible and rewarding challenge in this time of my life where the focus seems to be on me in working towards a successful career. I am so thankful for the opportunity, and ecstatic to learn and grow in ways I cannot even imagine now. Please support me by praying, giving, or simply following my journey.
